Awesome look at Pivot Tables. Starts at the very beginning but gets you to the nitty gritty pretty quickly ending with a magic trick of reusable formatting. Really helpful examples and walk throughs with all files available on the website of the publisher no key needed so feel free to buy used. Covers PowerPivot, VBA, and backward compatibility as well. Really great resource. Will look to this series again for future Excel needs.
I have found this book to cover everything I wanted to know about Pivot Tables. There's more about Power Pivot and PowerBI, if you are interested. If you looking for a book to help you understand this useful Excel tool, you will find it in this book. I highly recommend it.
As Excel 2016 is with us until next year, for me it was when, not if to buy Pivot Table Data Crunching. Jelen is an essential guide to any data scientist using the Excel platform.
This book is easy to find information on a particular function. It is great for the beginner using pivot tables (but you must be proficient in the underlying Excel software) as well as a reference book for the advanced user.The only down side is Que's website. It was difficult to navigate. Be aware that the free web edition is a non editable HTML book. If you want something to take with you and be able to make comments and highlight you will have to buy the ebook.
Good book. I got 95% of what I needed out of the first two chapters. The ONE thing that made it for me was the few pages on data normalizing (the form, format and completeness of the key pivot columns/rows). After that, it was a matter of trying and doing.Also nice, is the on-line book that comes with the purchase.
you cannot get the data files that are needed to use this book. it should be taken off the market. it directs you to a site that is of no use.
I train pivot tables, and so far the information I found is cutting-edge, excellent, thorough, and easy to follow.
The book is well written and informative. Every part of pivot tables. Too bad because it was a nice piece of software.
